Appearance: Average height with a slight build, Raven is most often found in baseball tees, long sleeve shirts or tanks, usually in khakis or some other similar pants. It's mostly about accessibility and practicality, considering she's most often saving people's asses. Her hair is always in a ponytail, and after having been shot, she wears a leg brace on her left leg.

Raven is a tough girl from a tough time. To understand her is to know where she's from. The year is 2162, and Earth's survivors are aboard a giant spaceship known as the Ark which was a collection of space stations from the nations of the earth. Due to nuclear war making the world uninhabited, the survivors had to leave their home. It's been over 97 years, but the Ark is dying and they need to see if the Earth is able to sustain life. Ultimately she's a survivor.

This makes her often detached from most people save those closest to her. She is does understand people though, so she knows who is on her side and who isn't, and when the 100 is experiencing drug trips from some nuts, she's there to help talk most of them down. But most often she gets off on a bad foot with most of them. Of course that is given the situation. She's also useful considering she has an actual tangible skill being the youngest zero-G mechanic in 52 years. On multiple times she's called upon to create weapons, blow things up, set up communications, pilot, and hack into various computer systems.


It's that skill that makes her valuable to the 100 and even to the Ark survivors once they land on Earth, extending to building Arkadia, the city the survivors build. Raven is the youngest mech to pass the test, even though she failed her physical. She is resourceful, and many times she has saved the entirety of the group. She built a radio with video capabilities to communicate with the Ark, even after Bellamy destroyed the radio she came down with. She also created a bomb to destroy a bridge that the grounders would have to cross. She shoots from the hip, which can be resourceful, but ultimately she lacks self-preservation, willing to trap herself in space forever.

Clarke is another person that at first rubs her the wrong way. She quickly deciphers that Finn and her slept together. At first it makes her very catty and possessive, but ultimately Raven does care about Finn more than anything, stating more than once that he's her family. She lets him go to pursue what he wants with Finn, though that seems to be harder for Clarke since Finn never told her about Raven, something she holds onto long after she processes that Finn and Clarke are together.

But Clarke is a skilled leader, and she can recognize how much the other cares for Finn. When he gets hurt by the hands of one of the grounders, Raven is willing to torture Lincoln to get the information to save him, showing that line of stubbornness that lends itself to a cruelty.  Seemingly it's the same motivation for Clarke, who is far more moral than the rest of them, to let it happen. They also seem to be the most skilled, Raven with her mechanics and Clarke with her medical knowledge from her mother who is a doctor.

However in the second season when Finn is in trouble is quick to throw another boy, John Murphy, under the bus for two reasons. The first is the bond she has with Finn which makes her loyalty blind to right and wrong (literally willing to hand Murphy over to be killed for Finn's actions), and second because Murphy tried to kill Bellamy and in doing so ended up shooting Raven in the spine. While she is truly one of the characters with the highest morality, one of the themes of the 100 is what makes humanity and nature of right and wrong regardless of context. However Raven does suspend her morality when it comes to those she cares about, willing to mark anyone as expendable if it means losing someone she does care about. She can be very judgmental because of that.

It's that skill that makes her valuable to the 100 and even to the Ark survivors once they land on Earth, extending to building Arkadia, the city the survivors build. She's also vulnerable. When Finn does die, it has a massive and rippling affect. He was the only person she had in her life before they landed, and the betrayal of him dating Clarke makes her particularly guarded. When Wick, another engineer, shows interest in her, she continually pushes him away. Also when A.L.I.E., an artificial intelligence, who offers "paradise" from pain and suffering. After being shot and having a bullet lodged in her spine, the pain leaves her vulnerable to the AI.

Her unforgiving nature stays with her for several seasons after John Murphy fires his gun and the bullet gets lodged in her spine. Granted, it's not something is easy to get over, and Murphy isn't a saint to begin with, but he does try to talk to her about it. She had the chance to shoot him, and the only reason why he's alive is she was out of bullets. Murphy isn't a complete asshole though sometimes he makes stupid, selfish decisions. He tries to help her on several occasions, but Raven is stubborn which is something they share. Both are strong willed and never give up. Everyone knows she has the highground with him. Ultimately they have a lot in common (tragic and shitty childhoods), but it isn't until they are forced together through circumstances, and Raven goes from beating the shit out of him (while simultaneously going through some shit due to the effects of A.L.I.E and the aftermath of having her brain supercharged) to actually coming out on the other side. Raven is walking reminder for Murphy's crimes, but his presence creates a visceral reaction when she is suffering from brain damage. It's something she is forced to come to terms with since nothing else will let her forgive him.

Powers and Abilities: She has extensive training with being a mechanic, working in zero gravity mostly, but creating bombs, building various tech, and working with chemicals. She's also knows how to use guns. She also somehow has gained some computer skills including hacking. Otherwise she's just a normal human with no powers.
